Why BLÆKHUS?
Blækhus provides great accommodation with some amazing facilities at the best locations in Denmark.
The very first Blækhus opened in Valby in 2018, and we're expanding due to popular demand with more Blækhus residences planned for Copenhagen and other Danish cities.
We’re Danish to the core, creating spaces that help students, new graduates and young professionals to connect, develop academically and enjoy their time through memorable experiences.
The story behind Blækhus
Blækhus means ‘inkwell’ (or ‘inkpot’). We chose it because of the many famous works in Danish literature and arts, such as Saxo’s
Danish History, Denmark’s Constitution, Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales, the literature of Søren Kierkegaard, and all
the music from the famous book of Danish songs: Højskolesangbogen.
